Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. The university is renowned for her pioneering the science of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman published widely and has won many grants and has been honored with several international and national awards. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments all over the world to conduct research and policies relating to children who are victims of the legal system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a fellow of numerous professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
